So, as they often do, things in my life are rapidly changing all at once. I've recently become engaged, and I'm struggling with a couple issues related to the wedding. We're both of the opinion that we don't want a religious ceremony, and yet want someone who knows us to marry us, so there's the first issue.
Secondly, and here's where I will sound like an entitled bitch, we have no plan for financing the wedding. My mom asked the other day, and I told her as much, and at that point in the conversation, if I was going to get an offer of help, it would have come then, but nothing was said. Needless to say, I'm a little hurt. By no stretch of the imagination do I expect mom and dad to pay for all of this, but an offer of aid, even a token, I thought would have been forthcoming. Perhaps I do sound stuck up and entitled, but I'm just a little off-put, and I don't know what to do. Gulp. So, starting from zero.

Got home from the zoo early evening, have spent tonight laying around licking my wounds- er- sunburn, and getting pics ready to post.
